2022 Ropeless Consortium Annual Meeting
New Bedford Whaling Museum / Virtual

October 24, 2022

The 2022 Ropeless Consortium Annual Meeting will be a single day in person event with a remote participation option. While we are moving forward with an in-person meeting, the reality is that we remain in a global pandemic, As such, we will monitor trends and recommendations from city, state, and federal agencies related to in person gatherings. We anticipate having onsite precautionary measures that may include, but are not limited to, required masks and social distancing.

Additionally - while we are hopeful that this will not be the case, we cannot rule out a necessary shift to a fully remote meeting should infection and transmission trends dictate such. We will do our best to make that determination early, however, participants should be aware of this possibility and plan travel accordingly.

Registration Details:
Virtual registration fee: $100 USD
In-Person registration fee: $125 USD

Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Format
The 2022 Meeting will take place in person at the New Bedford Whaling Museum in New Bedford, MA, and will include a virtual participation option for those unable to travel. Museum capacity limits will be strictly enforced and therefore early registration is strongly recommended for those who wish to participate in person.

The Annual Meeting will feature primarily pre-recorded/pre-viewed presentations from both onsite and remote participants as well as live panel discussions.

All registered participants (in-person and remote) will have a unique login to the meeting site which will allow for access to view all of the pre-recorded presentations. Participants will also have an opportunity to submit questions/comments in advance of the meeting as well as live during the meeting.

The live meeting will consist of Q&A sessions with presenters in each of the topic sessions. All presenters from each session (both in person and remote) will be live and on screen to take questions that were submitted in advance of the meeting, as well as those submitted live via chat module. Each Q&A session will be moderated by a Board member.

The Ropeless Board is working to explore options for live and remote breakout sessions and those details will be shared once finalized.

Registration
There will be a single registration fee for the meeting (either in person or virtual). There will be no single session fee.

Should we move to a fully virtual meeting, the registration cost difference between the two ticket types will be applied to the registrant's 2023 meeting registration.
